Principal's Office

Dear Winnetka Families,

Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!  I extend a warm welcome to our parent community on behalf of the entire Winnetka Elementary School Staff.  Winnetka is a “school on the move.”  In the last few years, due to the hard work of our students, staff and parents, our Academic Performance Index (API) has increase 75 points earning the school the status of an 800+ Honor School.  Winnetka was designated as a “Reward School” by the CORE (California Office to Reform Education) consortium for being in the top 10% most improved schools in academic performance across English language arts and mathematics in all grades.

The entire staff of Winnetka Elementary strives daily to ensure that every student is part of a strong education program and that they achieve academically with the ultimate goal of being “College and Career Ready.”  The school makes special efforts to create and promote a good relationship between the home and school.  We strive to continue working with our families to provide academic excellence and personal growth for each child.

I am extremely proud to lead the wonderful group of teachers, office staff, support staff and parents.  Let’s make it another great year at Winnetka Avenue Elementary School!

Sincerely,

Annette Star
