Enrollment Information for Students New to Winnetka

Winnetka Avenue Elementary will begin accepting applications for enrollment for 2019/2020 school year on April 22, 2019.  Forms are available in the school office. To expedite the enrollment process, we suggest that you pick up an enrollment packet, complete the forms at home, and bring the forms with the documents listed below when you come register.

If you live in Winnetka's attendance area and your child will be five years old on or before September 1st of the new school year, you may enroll your child for Kindergarten at Winnetka Avenue School. If your child turns five years old between September 2nd and December 2nd, you may enroll your child in our TK program (2 year program).  Children turning 5 between December 3 and June 30 are eligible for the Expanded Transitional Kindergarten program.

Roughly our area is bounded on the east by Corbin Avenue and on the west by Oso Avenue. Our northern boundary is Plummer Street. Our southern boundary varies. West of Oakdale, the southern boundary is Saticoy. East of Oakdale, the southern boundary is Arminta Street. If you are unsure whether you live in the Winnetka attendance area, you can either go to School Finder on the LAUSD webpage or call the school office for assistance.
