Academic Support

Intervention -- Through the use of referral, assessment, screenings, and early identification systems, staff member Ms. Nohemy Maravilla, is able to identify students who exhibit early evidence of academic difficulty in our efforts to ensure that no one falls through the cracks.  Students who need additional assistance in English Language Arts (reading) participate in a special program for 20 minutes daily via zoom.

Student Support and Progress Team (SSPT) – This team is composed of teachers and staff who collaboratively work with parents as a team to identify specific needs and prescribe solutions that will bring about positive results in student learning. The team addresses attendance, behavior, health and academics. Strategies are put in place at the first meeting and a follow-up meeting is held to check for improvements. Steps are determined to continue success or resources for greater services are identified.
