English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC) & School Site Council (SSC)

Calling all parents

Dear Parents,

We encourage you to make a difference in the governance of our school by participating in our English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) and School Site Council (SSC).

The English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) is mandated under California Education Code 52176(b).  All schools with twenty-one (21) or more English Learners (ELs) are required to establish an ELAC.  Parents of English Learners serve on this advisory committee and provide recommendations for programs and services that support the academic achievement of English Learners at our school.

The School Site Council (SSC) is a decision-making body that assists with the development and implementation of the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). The SSC represents all of our stakeholders and is comprised of teachers, parents, other school staff, and the principal.

Please join us for our upcoming monthly meetings throughout the school year.

Meetings are open to all parents and staff.  However, only members who have been elected to serve may vote.

We hope to see you soon!
